Further research revealed that Jordan’s idea wasn’t original—but rather the revival of a classic. For centuries, whey had been consumed, in various forms, as a health tonic. Doctors of Greek antiquity called it “healing water,” and Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, frequently gave it to his patients.
