You have the power to win any battle you decide to take on! You only have to embrace this power and use it! This power is your Bible. Now wait, I heard that sigh. I chal­lenge you to use your Bible as a power source: a sword and a shield today. Read it, savor it. Turn to it, and the One who wrote it, for comfort, for strength and for victory!

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Use it or lose it”? It is possible to literally starve your soul to death! Your soul, without constant communion with God, will become tired, pale and forgetful. Remind your soul! Strengthen your ramparts! God may not use the battle plan that you have laid out for Him. (He usually has His own plan.) But you will win the battle all the same! Read the Word of God!

Ephesians 6:16-17
Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
