The yellow or orange pigment of turmeric, called curcumin, is considered a primary driver of the health benefits of turmeric.
Turmeric oil, however, also contains turmerones, which are the major constituent of turmeric rhizome essential oils.Turmerones are also bioactive molecules in turmeric which can support health.†
Curcumin and turmerones are not the same, but they both can offer health-supporting benefits to the body. For example, some studies point out that a high content of turmerones can boost curcumin absorption.†

Turmeric oil uses:
